Special Event Campsite For Contender & Fireball Nationals

With accommodation already in short supply for the dates of the nationals due to the jubilee weekend, special agreement has been reach with Brightlingsea Town Council and the Brightlingsea Scouts for a temporary campsite on the Lower Park Road Recreation Ground, located just a short walk from the club.

This temporary site comprises a large flat grassed playing field area, access to a water stand pipe, a cassette toilet emptying point and toilets. There is no electricity supply and campers will need to use the sailing club's showers if they do not have their own facilities. Pitches are available for tents, caravans and camper vans.

The site will be open for arrivals from the afternoon of Wednesday 1 June and guest must depart no later than Sunday evening. Pitches must be booked and paid in advance by Monday 28 May and will cost £40 for the weekend. Information on how to find the site and key codes for the facilities will be provided nearer the time.

The site is located close to residential housing and those using the site are asked to be respectful of those living near by. Also open fires are not permitted on the site.
